Default am i

I have my intake manifold off and am about to apply the gasket sealer ( Right Stuff) and according to the directions it says to just put on the plastic trigger and squeeze from the pressured can. Well I am squeezing and no GOO is coming out. Year on can is 1999. IS this stuff just old or am I a retard? Thanks

I don't know, but I would not be trying to use something that old on my intake manifold.

Best to......
1. get rid of that old stuff
2. go to Tech for Tech Q's
(matter of fact 'sealer' is under discussion today)

Ignore the trigger and push the nozzle (like a cheese whiz can). Thats what I had to do to get my silicone sealant to work. Theres also the possibility that it could have hardened up inside, but I dont know what the shelf life is on that.

come to find out I am not a retard. go figure. I ended up pressing on the can so hard I broke the damn head right off. So I tore open the can and found hardly any air pressure and the material inside was near solid. I contacted the supplier i received the product from to possibly get a newer can.

Did you just buy the can, and does the dealer now the can is almost 9 years old? If he replaces it AND you've had it for that long, I would be surprised!

Default What makes RIGHT STUFF so RIGHT?

I just bought the can. I was refunded. Apparently he checked all of his cans and they were all bad. All old. Just my luck.

How much better is RIGHT STUFF anyway? Could I get away with using regular Permatex gasket sealer?
