Ok my 89 thats a work in progress has been sitting for a while, dorment. I removed some wiring for things that I am not going to use, like the lights around the rear view mirrior, and the visors. This is going to be a high speed road course, targa type of car that I use to take to cruise ins as well.

I wanted to put my power windows down tonight so I could replace the inner/outer seals. Battery was dead so I put it on charge, tried them tonight with no luck, not even a groan. The switches are in rough shape anyways and I have one replacement with plans to replace them all, but like before I was having thoughts of taking the motors/wires, etc out and going to manual windows. Does anyone know of a place that has a kit to do this, or know how to make it happen? My AC is already out and gone so I am going to want some ventilation when driving around town.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Push come to shove I will replace the switches and hope for the best and when I finally get everything ready to put back together I will put the switches back in too.


As a side note, I replaced the weatherstripping around the targa top, and down the sides of the windows, the install went over all pretty well but has not stopped the leak i have on the drivers side. It gets standing water on the floor (carpet now removed) when it rains/snows. Its finally inside where I can work on it again and out of the rain but any ideas what might be the most likely culpret for the water getting in?
