Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me what's involved in replacing the hood release cable? The one on my driver's side needs to be replaced. Thanks for the help. :seeya
I wish I had the answer. By the way, it's all one cable. I bought one over a year ago and it's still on the shelf. I haven't figured out how to get the old one out of the firewall grommet and worse yet how to get the new one in.
Maybe someone who has had better luck will post the solution. Good luck.
I had one replaced by a friend that does body & fender work. He used a GM cable and charged me $50 parts and labor. He also said it was a bitch of a job :smash: :smash: :smash:
Well, I guess I'll figure this out sometime this weekend. I bought a new cable from my dealer ($37.50) and it's one cable. That is, it's a replacement for both sides. As soon as I figure out how to get the panel out from under my dash, I'm going to try and replace it. :seeya
