Thinking of getting a C4 for racing down here in Buenos Aires. What r the different years going for in the US ? Manual, coupe in good shape ?
I found a 92 or 93, thanks to crazy taxes cars cost 2x US prices here :(
Now is the time to buy. The prices are dropping like crazy. I bought my 92 with 63,000 miles on it for 15,000. I now have 80,000 miles and would probably only get less than 10,000 if I ever sold it(which I never will).
With prices like that did you ever consider buying a few wrecked ones and calling them car parts on the shipping invoice and have a someone put a couple of them together and sell one. I've heard of this done before.     I got my 93 for $12,800 and put a grand into it getting it to the clean status. Before, I had a clean 94 that got totaled and insurance gave me $17,000, but I made the adjuster a box of homade candy.
Corvette magazine has a price calculator that is pretty much on target. Prices are low now in most part of the country from what I can see, but you also get what you pay for. I paid book for mine 4 or 5 months ago. Both links:
