After many years I am finally going to get my dream car. I have wanted a Corvette since I was a kid. I joined this forum to learn about Corvettes and I must say I have learned a lot from all of your postings.
The anticipation is killing me 4 more weeks and I will have it. I have been paying for it since Nov. only 2 more payments and it is mine. She is a 90 Polo Green with Saddle interior, other than a few small scratches she is in excellent shape and only 61000 miles. I will continue to watch the C-4 forum so I can learn more if anyone can think of anything I may need to know as a first time Corvette owner please post it I am grateful for any hints or suggestions. Again Thanks
Congrats, and get used to having sore cheeks from that big grin you will have!
Buy yourself a Helms manual for the car (the actual factory service manual) - one of the best resources you can have if you're going to do your own maintenance and repairs. You can find them for sale here in the Parts section from time to time, or on ebay.
for picts get a photo bucket acct and up load your fav picts and the add photo url's to your posts...at least that's what I've done- congratulations on the new addition to your family
Congrats, and welcome to the madness. Buy a FSM and you will be able to answer most of your own questions without a lot of in my opinion wrong answers. There is a lot of good knowledge on this board, but you have to sift through the B.S. to get them.
Congrats Get some seat time & try an Auto X to get the real feel of a Corvette. You don't have to drive like an idiot just get the feel of how your car really handles. Find a NCCC Club in your area they can point you in the right direction. Good luck
Make sure you learn how to use the parking brake before you get into a situation where you look like a dufus. And be real careful pulling into parking spaces where there is a curb in front of you. Lots of guys scrape their noses, or so I've heard...
