I recently changed out my original exhaust system with new performance Flowmaster mufflers. These mufflers were recommended and I'm not very happy with the god aweful sound they produce when I'm in the car. It is so deafening, I can't hear myself think. I feel I threw away $470.00 for this system and now I want to get rid of these mufflers. I don't want to make the same expensive mistake again. Can anyone recommend and a good performance exhaust system for a 1994 Vette that is not so noisy when you'r sitting in the car.
Thanks Paul

I put the Corvette Central STRAIGHT PIPE EXHAUST SYSTEM -
WITH LT1 MUFFLER ELIMINATORS on and love the sound!!
part#324133. For me it is not loud in the car.
I agree that Borla or Magnaflow are better, but I don't think that you will like either. If you want to have conversations at normal speaking levels under any circumstances and be able to listen to music and hear it clearly, you will need to stay with the original.
I love my flow masters but to quiet them down a little I bought sound deadening material and put it under the carpet in the cargo area.My wife would't ride in the car otherwise. To loud for her. Now she don't mind cruising
I have researched them all. The horrible sound you have with the Flowmasters is known as resonance. I have a First Generation B&B Triflow system and it is infamous for resonance. Just horrible! You can mess around like I have and try to put a dress on a pig if you want and spend a bundle on exhaust fixes or, you can go ahead go back to your factory set up or go Corsa. I am also hearing good things about the Third Generation of the Triflow but that is spotty right now. Good luck.
Tomorrow's my birthday...the big five-o . I may treat myself to a Corsa system and get rid of these god damn Flowmasters. Before I do though, has anybody actually had any luck with that sound deadening stuff? I may try that first.

Honestly flowmasters really shouldn't sound that bad with cats.
