I bought new leather seats from Al Knoch Interiers. I would like some opinions on what to condition them with. I called the company and spoke to a woman who did not speak good english, but what i could understand was she told me to use pledge wax . Anyone know about this and where i might find it? Thanks Rox Red
When I got new leather from AK for my C3 back in the 80s they said use lemmon pledge. Worked great. I have not tried it on my C4 because I am afraid it will turn the sadle dark. May do it anyway since I have some time on my hands.
I guess they know what they are talking about, but I'd never put lemon pledge on my leather seats. I have seats by Al Knoch as well and Dale helped me out throughout my ordering and receiving etc. I recall being recommended Lexol leather cleaner conditioner. I have used it and it is great. I have also used other professional leather conditioners that work equally as well.
I am not familiar with the "brand" of seats you guys are talking about.
Can someone please tell me if they are just the covers for the C4 or the entire seats? Are they a do it yourself installation or can I go to a place that does that type of thing and have them installed for me?
Al highly recommends pledge wax, at last years Bloomington Gold he showed us how to rub it in to the leather by hand. It conditions the leather and let's you slide in easier so you don't scuff the leather, so far so good. After all he is the manufacturer.
