Default Batch Fire Question

If each bank fires all four injectors at the same time, where does the fuel go on the cylinders that are not firing?Does it just sit there and wait for the intake stroke? Is it unburned,in otherwords wasted?Does this method dilute the oil faster?TIA.

It happens to fast to be a problem, and remember, the cylinder is sealed untill the intake valve opens.

That's kinda what I was getting at.If the intake valve is closed, where does the excess fuel go?Fuel is getting squirted into a closed cylinder intake port. What's the effect of that? When that jug does open, does it get a double dose of fuel?It obviously works, but what are the mechanics? These things are pretty clean runners, and pretty good on fuel.I just couldn't imagine unburnt fuel running through the engine.

They (the injectors) only fire every other revolution, so there is no build up. Remember, at idle, it's 800 revs per minute.

A carburetor sends fuel to all cylinders all the time, batch fire is one step ahead.
