Default GM OE C6 wheels?

OK, I see reproduction C6 wheels in 17" to fit our beloved C4's from 88 up, my question is will the GM wheels which are 18" (and 19") fit or is there a problem with backspacing etc?

I know they will be outrageou$ but if insurance is going to pay I would prefer to go with GM parts.

Thanks!

I don't believe your Ins Co (or any for that matter) will replace your 20 year old wheels with NOS. Would be cost prohibitive for them to do so.

I am sure they will offer to locate aftermarket replica wheels, so if I were you, I'd be checking at OE Wheels in FL or AFS Wheels in CA for stock inventory.

They deffinatly fit. however you will need to get a spacer for the rear wheel so it dosent hit the wheel well, i used a 1/2 inch. other than that it looks really good, by far the coolest rims ive seen on a C4. Ill upload some pictures when i get a chance

there's plenty on this subject if you do a search, but here is factory C6 18 and 19 inch wheels on my '94 . I did have to use adaptors (NOT spacers) for the rears.

Harry,

Love those wheels on your car! Ever since you showed it a few months ago I've been planning to get mine some thin spokes.

Where did you find the best deal? Spacers as well.

If it comes down to my ins co they will simply issue me a check for replacement cost, I will then be responsible for getting the wheels.

wheels I found on CL and the adapters I bought from my local wheel house. if I would have had more patience, I would've ordered through the big auction site for 1/2 of what I paid for. 1 1/4 for the adapter size (if you have a later C4 and use OEM wheels.) thanks for the kind words

my insurance co. has also just issued a check in the past for damages (headlights on the BMW, rims on my Volvo). I think it just matters on the ins. co.
