change oil light

Default change oil light

i have a 90 c4, my change oil light came on..... i got my oil changed the light has stayed on. any ideals on how i might get the light to go off? it's been a great car, other than the bose system, and this is one of the few problems. any insight would be helpful.

DO you have the manual. It tells you how. It involves pressing buttons on the display and cycling the ig switch. I can't remember how. If you don't have it I will dig up my 95 manual and see if its the same. Eric

To reset the oil light, put the key in the ignition and turn to accessory setting (but do not start the car) Push the English/Metric button twice and then push and hold the "Gauges" button. The "Change Oil" light will flash for about 15-20 seconds and then go out. Release the button and turn key off.

When you turn the key back on, the light should be out. If it is not, repeat the above steps.
