Default Got a Hella Vette

I just installed my "Hella Vision Plus Headlight" Housings (the US version) today. Man what a difference over my old "Adjure diamond cut clear" Housings. I have 10,000K H.I.D. Bixenon (high/low beam) and man do the Hellas make a difference. The old ones were focusing the light too much in front of the car and not evenly dispersing it. The Hellas spread the light perfectly. I love them and I am upset that I didnt buy these ones to begin with.

(Before HID's Adjure lamps)

(new Hellas)

Pictures do it no justice but trust me its 100x better than my old set up

Are they friendly to oncoming motorists, or do they sear their retinas?

I have had the HID kit for almost 2 years now, it is a GP Thunder 10,000k color Bixenon High/Low beam kit. When I originally installed the kit I used these "Adjure Diamond Cut" Cheap-o Autozone Housings and I was never quite 100% happy with the light output. It was better than the stock sealed beams but it just focused it too much infront of the car and it made it really hard to see when I was going around corners. So I finally ponied up the 100 bucks and bought the Hellas from summit (the ones I got are the US versions The Euros are supposed to disperse the light even further ahead i guess). I really wonder why I tried to take the cheap route out originally because it cost way more in the long run if i had just bought the right parts to begin with.

The lights are adjusted properly so I am not blinding anyone. Only one person flashed me on my 15 min drive so. All I know is i am Hella pleased with the results. The reason I started this post is so that people know that if you decide to get an HID kit get a quality headlight housing to go with it like a Hella unit. In the long run its worth every penny.

Nice setup, IB! You should really do a tech writeup with pics and everything, then post it to the C4 Tech section. Bravo!

I got my hellas from Summit for 100 shipped and I think the ones in Mid America are supposed to be even better (Euro Spec editions).

I have the C4 Corvette Headlamp Conversion part # 607-084(not the Hella one). I don't recommend them for HIDs. I'm going to get the Hellas. Do the ones you got work with H4 type bulb?

If you got them recently from Mid America I would try to return them or swap them for the Hella's. Mid America has very good Customer Service and is usually very good about that stuff. Yes the Hella's work with H4 style bulbs too.

post night pics of how your lights are.
