Well in the process of changing the belt today I damage the temp sensor. Well I did not know it was damage until I got about 30 mins from my house. But I need to know what is involved in changeing one of those and if any one knows the price on that little thing. PLEASE HELP. Its my daily driver.

Bummer. You will have to drain the antifreeze at least to the level of the sensor. You might consider completely draining the system and refilling with new antifreeze - a mechanic friend of mine was telling me that especially on aluminum engines the anti should be changed out every two years or engine damage could result.

I would not drain the fluid. I would have the new one ready to go with some permetex2 sealant already applied to the threads and do one of those quick swaps. There should not be much coolant loss. Its a single wire plug and I think the sensor its self is a 5/8. Top your coolant off when you are done and you should be set. I am not going to argue about changing the coolant out. I think its a good idea if it needs it.

Thanks guys. Probably isn't a bad idea to change it. Don't know when it was changed last. I have gotten it changed so I can drive again. Will probably change the anti-freeze this weekend. Thanks again

Could be worse. It's probably not 10 below zero where you are.

I swapped my ECT sensor and maybe lost less than a qt of coolant.. if your quick.

Just do it when it is cold and don't open the Radiator cap, the residue vacuum in the system might slow down the leaking.
