Antenna not working
finally got around to taking my bose radio and speakers out and I installed a new sony all works good but the antenna won't work I have juice to the pink wire but nothing, any ideas? TIA Rich

Did it work before? If nothing else was changed, supplying 12v to the pink wire should power it up. I would say to make sure you have the right pink wire. The Bose radio and speakers were already replaced when I bought my car. When I replaced my radio, I found that there was another pink wire behind the radio...think it had a black tracer, that had something to do with the old Bose system, but had nothing to do with the antenna. Check the fuses. Make sure you're energizing the correct pink wire. If nothing there, it's time to proceed to the back of the car and check the relay. Back there one wire should have 12v all the time, another should have 12v when that pink wire is energized up front. If that all seems ok, unplug the antenna at the relay and see if you can get it to work on it's own. I believe there were 3 wires. One of them is ground. Supplying 12v to one of the two remaining wires should power it up, the other will power it down. Been so long I don't remember the colors of the wires or their orientation in the plug anymore.

Thanks for the help, yes the antenna was working before but I do have wiring nightmare, somebody has already destroyed all the wiring, so I will take your advice and make sure I have the right pink wire, I can get it to work if I power up the pink wire at the relay, but it's a mystery why the pink wire behind the radio don't work it is the same one the bose was plugged into and the antenna worked before. Oh well back to the drawing board if worse comes to worse I'll run a new hot wire to the relay.
