Interior colour???
Hi folks, I'm looking for the code that tells me the colour of my interior. I'm hoping to buy moulded carpets for the back and over the wheel humps, but I'm not sure what to call the colour on my 85. Seems there's a gray and a dark gray ..... hmmm.
Looking at my RPO sticker, I thought the code was on the bottom line but it doesn't mean a thing to me. The bottom line is:
BSE/CLR COAT WA- L8554 U8554
Now, that looks like a paint code, where does it give me the interior colour code?

According to Antonicks book, the codes for the '85 dark interior colors are:
12C-Graphite cloth
12V-Graphite sport cloth
122-Graphite leather
15C-Medium grey cloth
15V-Medium grey sport cloth
152-Medium grey leather65C-Bronze cloth
65V-Bronze sport cloth
652-Bronze leather
This RPO code will be toward the end of the list of codes.

Some of those 1's might be I's and 0's might be O's or vice-versa.
From what I make of those, the trim is graphite and it's almost black. If the mat's are supposed to be graphite(black?) they sure have faded 'cause they are a beige/grey colour now.

You have a graphite interior. Carpet always matched the interior color. Two colors of grey in 1985: Graphite (122) which is very dark grey...some people look at the leather seats and think they are black. Medium grey (152) which is really like silver in '85...much lighter. Buy a complete set (front and rear) or it will never all match. If you spend the extra $100 for the embossed "Corvette" on the drivers heel pad is up to you.

Thanks lads. I guess I have the "GRAPHITE" interior according to my RPO numbers and what you are telling me.
I wouldn't have thought it to be the darker one, but the numbers don't lie, do they??? ... <G>
