Is there any thing easy with this lady of mine ?? I just won beautiful front and back emblems on Ebay,I did the gas hatch emblem, that was easy,ok,maybe that was the easy thing. Now the front,WTF,is there a easy way instead of removing the air assembly and trying not to drop that little nut holding the posts on ??
2 nuts come off from the inside of the hood they have acces holes, put a little grease in your socket to hold them so they don't fall, I think they're 10 mm but don't remember for sure, the emblem is also stuck on the hood with tape, you just have to go real slow and pry it off, I think some have used dental floss under the emblem to get it loose, good luck don't scratch the paint or you will be

I just did it today.
The key advice I got was the heavy grease in the socket, man that was a life saver. Take off the filter so you have room. Put heavy grease inside the socket, it is a 10mm. Those nuts are called PAL nuts, they're very cheap, (in cost and construction). If you lose one, no big deal you can get them at Advance Auto. It's best to pre-thread the emblem. The one on my car popped right off, there was no tape under it. I'm not sure if it matters, but the guy at the body shop gave me some double sided tape, so I used it. It made it easier to put the nuts on, the emblem didn't push off.
The only thing that I had to fuss with was getting the nuts on. I didn't want to over tighten, and it was hard to be sure I had them on. Just had to go slow.
I just stick a piece of masking tape over the hole on the socket. It doesn't even have to have the sticky side facing the nut. The nut fits tightly in the socket and doesn't fall out. Less messy than grease.
$59 with shipping. Got a great deal, when I saw them, there was like 3 mins left on the bidding. They are beautiful. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...2BSI%26otn%3D2 these are from the same seller. They are not orange like they look in the pic.

I got mine for $24, with $5 shipping, I only bought the hood emblem. I can find look back and find the seller if you want to know. PM me if you want to know the seller.
I used a hair dryer to heat the the tape. Once the adhesive gets warm, it comes off easier. I don't remember if there was tape on the hood emblem. I know there was on the gas door emblem.
