Default Build sheet VS GMVIS

I got a build sheet a while back and up in the right hand corner there is typed the date 12/08/95 and a time hack of 06:01:02. A got a GMVIS report last week and according to it the build date was 12/22/95 for my 96 CE. If the build date is actually 12/22/95 as the GMVIS says, can someone tell me what the date/time group on the build sheet represents? I also got a laminated "window sticker" from the Corvette Museum when I got the build sheet. I have the original sticker. The two differ. The Corvette Museum one is more because they added the price of a Power Passenger Seat (RPO AG2) on the sticker. Has anyone else obtained one from the Corvette Museum that differs from their original sticker? When I questioned the Corvette Museum the lady said they make thier requested stickers up from the "Corvette Black Book".

I think that the date on the build sheet is the date the order went into the system for building the car.

The NCM data used for printing the build sheet came from GM. GM gave the NCM all of the build information from 1981 onwards (some data from 81 is missing).

The window sticker data could be taken from the "Black Book" but I have heard that there are some errors in the Black Book. You might want to contact the NCRS to see if they have accurate data for option prices.

If you have the original window sticker, it would have the correct prices for each item at the time of sale. GM would occasionally raise prices of some options in the middle of the model run. Check them against the current copy of the Black Book to see if they match what you have. If they don't, you might want to contact the publishers to see if they will update the next issue.

Thanks Cruiser, all that info makes a lot of sense and is pretty logical. I came to about the same conclusion with the build sheet. Although, that means you don't get the build date anywhere on the build sheet.

I am still a little in the dark on the sticker thing though. It appears that the CE RPO may have included both seats as power seats and the NCM folks didn't pick it up. Thanks again I will try the NCRS.
