my 87 previously failed smog check for high hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide. I tested the air diverter valve and switching valve using a 12v light bulb across the terminal both works fine. While trying to disconnect
the light bulb one of the wire touched the ground chassis, there was spark
then the light went out. After that I could not get anymore voltage reading on both diverter and switch valve connectors addition to that my battery will not charge anymore. I replaced the alternator, ECM, and battery. I checked the fuse box (right passenger side) all are ok. Is there
other fuses or relays I need to check. All this problem started when I accidently shorted the positive terminal of the air diverter switch valve.
Need help please !!
