It is a 350 but I'm sure that the details in the rotating assembly and cam as well as the induction system were unique to the Corvette..not sure if that would be "generic" , for example, In the LT1 motors the Vette used 4 bolt mains and the F-bodies had 2 bolts...same "basic" motor but the Vette LT1 was unique to the Vette

i'm sure the cam and heads were a little more performance than what you would find in other 350's that year.
If it is really an L98, then it is a 2 bolt block. There is no other difference than, possibly the main cap bolts, between the L98 and other 350 engine blocks, so maybe what you've found isn't actually an L98. Other items worth noting, depending on the year, L98 and non-L98s, can have one or two piece rear main seals, left or right dipstick openings, and be for OE roller cams, or not. Depending on your ultimate usage, 4 bolt mains, while desirable, aren't needed as often as thought. Changing main caps is a machine shop operation. At the very least the engine has to be line bored when the original main caps are replaced.
RACE ON!!!

5. In '89 same as '88 except for 113 D port heads, elimination of the 9th injector.

The 350 Crossfire/L-83 was a 2 bolt main block, it featured forged pistons, the cam had 403/415 lift, and mild duration. Twin throttle body fuel injection set up similar to the cross ram design of the carburated Z-28. In 1984 it was a true performance engine. It was only available in the Corvette. It gave the car a top speed of 137-143 depending on the test and options. quarter mile performance was 15.1-15.5 depending on the test you were reading. Again-great numbers for the time.
