Does anyone have any pictures of a C4, preferably an early one with flag fender emblems on the front fenders? I know these cars did not have them from the factory, but I have seen where some owners have installed them with two faced tape or actually did drill holes in the fenders. I think they really add to the appearance of the side of the car. I need to make up my mind whether to install them or not.
Do whatever you want to your car and don't worry about what others think
Werd. I think it looks tight. Your not trying to win any corvette restoration shows are you? So since your car wont be judged by anyone who matters, go to town baby!
I just put those emblems on my red 95 vert. I grinded off the pegs and simply stuck them on above the vents(no drilling ). I really debated about it because my car is totally stock(even sawblades). In the end, I just love how the 77 emblem looks on a red c4. If I get tired of it, I will take them off with dental floss. IMO if YOU like it, do it. I am happy I did.
They are off a 1978. and your right, just cut off the 2 pins on the back with a grinder. Then apply some double stick tape, if you don't like the way they look, all you have to do is take them off and stick them on your tool box!!!
This is a members car which was posted some time ago
I"m going to do this for my C4 as well... I thought this on might look good too its C2 generation badge...... now all I need is someone to photoshop in on my fenders
any photo-shoppers here that can do this for me
........

I beleive the '78s had a Round Silver Anniversary emblem in the background of these flags.
While it may look cool to some of you, the fact remains that a seasoned Chevy/Vette person knows it doesn't belong on there. It looks like something a kid would do because he didn't know any better. The wrong emblem on any car looks like somebody has been to Pep Boys or the junk yard...........

Correct...for the front and rear emblems. But the side emblems were just the flags, as shown in the pictures. The side emblems are a little smaller than the front and rear emblems.

I agree, the only thing that looks worse is when somebody puts one of those Engine Designation stickers on the rear bumper. If Chevy wanted it there it would have been there from the Factory!

LMAO. It's still a vette. I like a lot of the different corvette logos, and the C4 "logo" is my least favorite of the bunch. Now, just don't go putting ZR-1, LT-5, or ZO-6 emblems, and you'll be just fine.
Now with that being said, I'd also replace the nose and gas lid emblem to match which ever logo you put on the fender. That way it won't look like you just slapped an emblem on the car for no reason. Personally, I wouldn't add another emblem to the car...I'd take them all off if it weren't for the stinking holes that are under the emblems.
i was thinking about ordering two replacement horn button emblems in gold to match my other emblems for the fender. they are period correct then as well
