Im planning on doing an LT1 intake conversion and Ive got a complete intake from a 4.3 '94 Caprice. Is this the same as the 5.7 LT1 intakes? The number on the intake is: 10108630
IMO No ....since the caprice had the 4.3 v8 and you're trying to put this intake on a 5.7 ( Are you sure it had that ) I think the 4.3 is a V6( at least for the GMC and CHEVY TRUCKS it is

if you are talking about the L99 4.3l then its a v8 and it will work.. i don't if the ports are smaller or not though..
Well it was at a junk yard. A '94 Caprice. I popped the hood and was surprised as he!! to find what I thought was an LT1(I can recognize that intake anywhere) though I looked at the emissions sticker and it said 4.3. I did a search and they were v8s-not to be confused with the 4.3 v6 GM made.
The caprice came with a 4.3 liter v6 or an Lt-1. Perhaps the emission sticker or core support was from another caprice or it had an engine swap. One of my Fieros has a lt-1 which came out of a mid-90's caprice. From what I understand it is different from the vette in a few ways, one in which is 2 bolt vs 4 bolt main. But if you are jsut looking for the lt-1 intake it should be usable. .02

As stated a few posts above yours, the L99 was the 4.3 liter V8.
I have been told that the intake is different from the normal LT1 intake, but you can check the casting number on the intake to be sure. Probably easiest (and most reliable) to check the casting number with a GM dealer.
