JET Performance GM Chip
I just bought my first Corvette (1992 automatic) about a month ago and was wandering if anyone has installed a stage 1 JET Performance GM Chip. I have heard good a and bad things and of course their website doesn't list any drawbacks. Any info?

I had a jet chip in my truck...hated it. I now have a superchip and am thrilled. There are MANY more options than just hypertech and jet...neither of which you need. Hopefully others can help out more for a "vette" chip.

I bought a Jet Stage 2 chip for my 91 years back and took it to the track for testing. My stock chip was .2 quicker than the Jet chip. Needless to say I promptly sold the chip on Ebay for what I paid for it

The chips where hit and miss. They sometimes caused more problems than worth the gains. The newer cars with the tuner are unbelievable in the gains from just ten minuets work (playing). My Marauder felt like a different car from just plug and play with SCT.

Thanks for the advice. Looks like I will forgo the chip and just look at doing real mods. It will have to wait since I just dumped about 4K into the stereo, window tint and a K&N air filter. It will be fine for a while.
