Default Air Intake

hey does anyone have a nice air induction system? and some pics. i was looking at my stock air intake and it seems like a simple k&N cone would provide more air than the stock one. but the air may be warmer right next to the engine. thanks guys!

I don't know the name brand, it was on the car when I bought it. It says "Forced Air" on the grill in the license plate hole. The filter is a square K&N filter.

man! that looks real nice! does that hose hook up into the stock hose thing? or does it go all the way to the engine? so it has its own filter?im going to try and search for it. it looks like it would really increase air flow.

i do really like it but i live in texas. forgot to mention that. front license plate required. so i would go through much hassle of being stopped all the time. but it is a cool part.

JONATHON1990VETTE-What ever intake you get, make sure you get outside air into it otherwise you're wasting your money.Lots of bogus HP claims about all kinds of intakes when the fact is,no outside cooler air= no gain!

This is the only one that really works. It feeds on the colder air in front of the A/C cooler not sucking hot engine bay air like the claw and it's clones. You have to do a bit of cutting but it's no big deal. This is how Lingenfelter set their cars up so it's good enough for me.I think TPiS still has some.

Since most of the aftermarket intakes are $200+ and most don't add anything power/sound wise i think i'll just stick with what i have i guess.

Came with the car but if you go to www.tpis.com and on the menu there click on e-bay garage sale it will take you to it.$249.00.It's the only one that makes any sense really as it feeds cold, higher pressure air from in front of the rads as the front air dam shoves it up in there. Not a bad price for what you get either.Very nicely made.

I bought it from another Forum member, sometimes you will see them on ebay. To me it is more of 'I like the looks' than anything else. If there is a performance gain I would say it is very limited.
