Shocks...daily driver
Thanks again,

This is General Discussion. It's an interesting topic. If everyone searched, there wouldn't be very many posts. Is that the desired result?
I'm not trying to be a wise guy, just saying, if the posting activity at a site isn't brisk, it's not very interesting to visit.

I understand the point that you are trying to make, but you've got to admit that the topic of "shocks", particularly the question he posed comes up at least weekly. After a while, it gets old.
I've been a member for over a year and am now considering replacing my shocks. I've seen and read the previous year's posts on shocks, BUT....it's always good to hear new info.
Thought I'd go with the Bilsteins, but seeing this thread has convinced me to give the KYB's a shot. It seems that the Bilsteins are NOT the OEM shock, but the heavy-dutyreplacement, and thus a stiffer ride than stock.
Jeebus!!!!
My Bilsteins have 94K on them and are STILL too stiff for my liking....Therefore, I just ordered the KYB's, for a hopefully smoother ride.
This thread helped me make that decision.
Hopefully it'll work out as planned. I'm gonna have my local tire shop install the KYB's. They quoted me $15 each to install. Cain't beat that with a stick, as far as I'm concerned!!!
Yeah....folks who've been in the forum a while are gonna see repetitive threads. Doesn't bother me. May actually help, like today!
Have the stock Bilsteins with FX3 on the 95...little better but not great
Had QA1 shocks on my previous 92 and loved them. They are expensive but are adjustable from firm to soft. Great shock.
