I am loking at a 1992 auto, C4 with 89,000 miles. The car feels like it lackes power when taking off. The seller said the tranny might need rebuilding. Several questions. Would a tranny rob the power and if any of you have had this problem, what was the cause.? Otherwise at higher speeds, the car runs fine.
Also, there is a tear on the door sill rug when entering the car. Do I have to replace a larger section of the rug to fix this or do they have strips that can be placed there? Any help would be appreciated.
That is just the rail cover. That is an easy replacement carpet wise or you can just put rail cover protectors over it and cover the covers.
Power, I don't know. My 6speed kicks, not quite as fast as a C5 but I can keep up.

it may just need a bit of a tune up as far as power goes, but LT1's are slightly slower off the line than L98s. I dont think that the transmission would rob it of power, as ive blown several autos before and the power dropoff just before the breaking point was minimal.
