My buddy has a '90 Coupe. A guy at work is selling '03 Z06 drilled and slotted rotors at a good price. Will this fit? What would have to be done? Also, if it not a good idea, could you point us in the direction of some affordable brakes for a '90 with ZR1 rims.
The zo6 rotors will not fit. The question is how much money do you want to spend? Does your buddy have the J55 rpo code (option for the 13" rotor)? Does he race it on the track or just a street driven Vette? Drilled and slotted rotors are for looks, not for better braking, so which is more important to him?

The rotors will fit on the car, but not with your C4 capilers. And you'll only need the fronts, the parking brake set up on the C4 won't work with C5 rear calipers. The rear brakes really don't have to be changed or upgraded.
As for the rest of the hardwear (calipers, abutments, pads, etc) you can check the C5 parts for sale section or contact Chris at Superior Chevrolet. http://www.superchevyperformance.com/
You'll also need a set of adaptor brakets to mount the C5 calipers.
There are many threads on this forum that go into detail. This link is also very detailed:

I wonder why GM chose to put DRILLED ROTORS on the ZR1?
