Is it possible to replace the side louvers (sp?) on a '92 with the '95-'96 style louvers? I have always liked that style much more, and since I will most likely be re-painting this spring, am wondering if/where I can pick them up. Is that something that would be considdered "taboo"? ;)
The ones for 225 are for the older cars(84-90)...you can buy GM ones for about 50 bucks or so each.Dont quoate me on that but I remember they werent that expensive.
You can get good prices from the junkyards as well.Maybe contemporary corvettes or check out http://www.tabertouch.com and they have tons of used parts.I bought alot of stuff from them before and they accepted any returns I didnt want and exchanged, etc.
I like the 95-96 style fenders much better and I have them myself, the aftermarket ones for use with the old style moldings.
Most of the holes on the fenders are slotted for the clips and screws so they usually have no problem aligning up.

The '95-96 fenders are about $40 each from 18carfan.
Dave, did you hit a fender with a cone or something? I think I did the same thing :D Put some cracks originating from the mounting screws in the wheel well.
That's something i've considered doing too. I just like the "look" of them better than the 4 slits. Local GM dealer quoted me $76 for the pair a few months ago.
