Would you.. Buy a convertible C4 (93-96) ASAP or would you wait for the C5 prices to hit mid 20's for the 98 model year and buy a 98 coupe? Assuming you own an old problematic C4 right now.
I'd hoped to buy the white coupe I found at the Merc dealer, but the roof was too low, or the seat was too high, and it wasn't quite mint, near mint, or mint from 10 feet through beer goggles. I like the C4 bodystyle, but would have to buy a 'vert in the late model years. The C5 has almost plenty of room, and even enough to buy a stickshift, but I'd have to wait and patience is not one of my virtues. I'd have to wait until my saved cash + depreciation reached the point the monthly would be the same as a 95 convertible. Then there's always the Supra..
if I get an lt1, it gets Torque Convert, Gears, Intake, Exhaust, Hotcam, but that's it. Plus suspension mods.
if I could find an admiral blue coupe, it'd be worth buying racing seats for. Fors ome reason I fit in Randy's LT4 coupe, but not even close in other 96's. Isnt that odd? Maybe I should buy his LT4. (But it has fe1 :( )
Are those my only choices? I would never buy a convertible, 97+Vette, or Supra, so out of those, I think I would pass. Can we add the Cobra R or GS Corvette to the list?
I would love to have a Supra, but no sure I would trade my corvette for one. Only if I could have them both  A C5 would be nice, it would depend on how long I would have to wait to get one.
hmm an admiral blue vette?....... theres a 95 at the place i bought my vette from.... http://www.corvette-specialties.com
but its on the west coast of canada so i dunno if you'd wanna drive all the way up here to see a car.... but its only 800 made in 95 with an adjustable suspension...the z51 option or something like that? and its got a solid admiral blue targa.... and the interior is grey leather and its a 6speed.
i think they want 35000 for it... thats canadian so divide it by about 1.55 and you will get the price in US Dollars.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE "R" C4. If I had to choose a Convertible though it would DEFIANTELY be a C5. I love the room, the trunk!, and the waterfall between the seats is to die for! :yesnod:
I drove the owners of this one up for NCM delivery. I got to drive it from Tenn. to TX. :seeya
