I will be back in atlanta in early june. I may get to see it first hand
Already here and also interested. I'm looking to re paint mine and I'm sure my buddy in Cartersville would drive me back home after I drop it off......
HI Jeff, thanks for asking. It is now in primer, the finish coats will be shot this evening. My painter has pictures, unfortunately they are on his cell phone and he is not sure how to send them to me, but I will get them one way or the other. I should get it back on Saturday if everything stays on schedule.
So exciting to get new paint! You got me motivated. I called my painter yesterday. Tired of looking at that flaking clear coat on my hood! I have been meaning to do this for months. Don't tell my wife! :o She will never notice!
congrats! I just mine out of the paintshop yesterday!! there is nothing better than a fresh coat of paint to make you re-appreciate your vette!!
I saw the pictures you posted. It looks great. Mine is lowered about the same amount, so other than the rims they are very close. Now I hope mine looks as good as yours when I get it back.
Corvette Chris--no the bumper stayed on. In fact I told him to not even paint it, I am leaving the nose bra on. The bumper is a hard and expensive part to do and rather than spend the money just to have it 'screwed up' again with all the dang bugs and stone chips I left it alone. The 'bra' is bumper only, does not come up on the hood at all.
Before picture with the bra on:
My question was more directed at corvettedan, but I see your logic. It is a royal PITA.
Reason I said something is my local Corvette specialist said to have the bumper on for paint. He does awesome paintjobs, and paints it that way himself. So I took his advice, and did the bumper on thing.
You've done so much to that car since I last saw it when I picked up those mufflers from you. Looks great, love the wheels. I'll have to come check it out sometime whenever there is a car show around here.
