I read posts here yesterday that recomended AC Delco #41-629. I guess I will just replace the plugs with what are in there. (with never-sieze of course)
Thanks to all that have come in on this. The FR5LS plugs were the ones I replaced (they are the recommended plugs) but I think since '88 there has been some advancement , so why would platinum or rapid fire, which are more expensive, be better ?

hello everyone, I'm hoping someone will tell me which are the best spark plugs to use on the aluminum heads and why. Thanks for your help.
Just a suggestion to you if you have not worked on aluminum heads before. Make sure the engine is cold before you attempt to remove the plugs. Otherwise, you stand a chance of stripping our the threads.

I would not say they are better, just longer lasting perhaps. It's not that tough to change them so it's up to you. Pay lots of extra money for that kind of plug or spend your time and change them more often.
85L98-84L83 bosch platinum +4 5 hp, you did a dyno test on this? If your just believing what the box says, you could have lost 5 HP just as well.
