seat belt problem
This is my second set of seat belts and still having a problem with the passenger side getting stuck. Never have any problems with the drivers side. I've taken one apart and understand that they have to be in a certain position for them to extract properly but as soon as I put the seat back in it binds up for some reason. I make sure I'm not on a hill when I use it. But this is driving me crazy! After about 5 minutes of pulling on it it will come out. Does anyone know what the problem is and why it is only my passenger side that keeps getting stuck? Thanks

There was a recall on this problem that GM will still honor because it is a safety issue. I don't have the recall info handy but I found it on the GM recall sight. My local Chevy dealer checked my Vin number when I had my 89 & I got brand new seat belts out of the deal just about 18 months ago. I don't remember what years it covers so check it out.
