PKE Remotes
Hey Guys, and Ladies,
Does anyone know if you can program a Coupe PKE to work on a '94Convertible?
My unit is still good, but my case cracked and I can't find a replacement case anywhere. And PKE's are basically non existent except for a few I see on eBay, and all of them are for Coupes. One seller that says and shows it for a convertible is not, and is not in his possesion, it is actually for a coupe and the seller is saying it can be programmed to work for a convertible

When I bought one for my coupe a few months ago, I did some research, and if I remember correctly, there are different fobs, and the coupe won't work on the vert.

You can get brand new factory PKE's for convertibles at several of the online vendors. I bought two a couple of weeks ago from gmpartsdirect.com for $100.72 each. The GM part number is 88960924.
There's one being auctioned on eBay with a current bid of $36.00 if your're feelin lucky

FBERUS has got it right. The gmpartsdirect.com item is brand new and you can depend on it. It comes with correct programming instructions. It is also the current GM part. GM has changed the item and the part number at least three times. The number fberus gave is correct for now. That is where the ebay folks get them and then make about $50 on each one.
