anyone knows what was wrong?

so i filled up two to three days ago. and my gauge doesnt work so i go by miles. anyway as im driving the car starts to spudder as if its running out of gas. i pull over and i turn it off. i crank it a couple times it starts then turns off as if no gas. so i walk to corner store buy a little tank put a half gallon and put it in the car. it then starts up fine i drive to gas station and fill up, only it only took about 7 gallons. so that means i was never out of gas.... anyone knows what could have happend? its running fine now.

or just dont trust a 18 year old car....

you will need a FSM - Helms

Alot of different options:
check for error codes
injectors
fuel filter
pump
vacume leak
fuel switches
and the list goes on

Probably the fuel filter needs to be replaced. I had a simillar incident years ago. Once, I replaced the fuel filter everything was cool. that is where I would start. But getting a FSM is a great idea.

I searced around for it and im still pretty new to the scene i cant figure out if the FSM - Helms is a book or a computer you hook up? thanks and either or where you do you get it?

First check the vacuum lines for a leak, and change your fuel filter.

FSM = factory service manual - get a reproduction of it at helminc.com
