I will be commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in May and will be getting some base stickers on my Corvette. Problem I'm seeing is that my car is Blk/Blk and I know that white sticker with the blue is going to look kinda goofy. So my question is, anyone who has had to put a government sticker on their vette what did they do to make it not stand out? Can you decide if you put it on the center at the top or down low in the left corner? Thoughts...

If you are assigned to a base in the Navy Northwest Region your two lines of beautiful Blue/white stickers must be located in the lower corner of the driver's side front windshield...No exceptions that I've ever seen or heard of. You'll not be alone as there are many with Vettes stationed at NAS Whidbey AND THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME DECORATION...Welcome aboard and thanks for your service to our GREAT COUNTRY!
You might get lucky, most USAF bases do not require stickers anymore because there is a 100% ID check at the gate. But if you get to one that still does, they will tell you where it needs to be placed. Look on the bright side, you could be in Texas where you have a registration sticker and an inspection sticker in the lower left that sticks out like a sore thumb! Welcome L.T.
Base regs will determine where you willbe required to display the sticker.
There may be 100% vehicle checks at base entry gates, but without a visible sticker, you will get stopped and asked extra questions like, "Where's your vehicle registration sticker, Sir?? What's your unit and why haven't you registerd your vehicle on base, Sir?"

Congrats on becoming a shavetail!
I was just at McGuire AFB with my dad and he was told that soon, the stickers won't be required (at least by USAF). This was the first time they asked me for identification as well as a visitors pass which I never needed before. I also take him to Lakehurst NAS and most times he shows his ID with the window sticker and all is well, sometimes I have to whip out my ID, but sometimes not.
The stickers on his car are placed in the center top of the windshield, but I have noticed others have them on the lower left. Nobody has them on the bumper anymore.
MCAS Cherry Point, NC puts them below the state inspection sticker, lower driver's side corner, with expiration numbers each side.
I only have one because my architectural design firm has a contract with the base, but you can wear yours for what it is-a badge of honor. Thanks for your service-
When the stickers were still a requirement I kept it just below the line of the hood, but still on the windshield. You could see it if you were standing in front and above the vehicle, but I couldn't see it from inside.
It's really not that big of a deal, most state inspection/emission stickers are worse looking! Just make sure you put them on straight....nothing looks worse than crooked stickers!
FWIW most (if not all) USAF bases do not require stickers any more and there are absolutely no extra questions coming through the gate. I do it every day. The stickers pose a security risk while off base. It quickly identifies military members (and or families) to potential threats. (or so I was told......)
Depends. When I went to Nimitz gate to get my sticker, they put it in the center up top. Third Class wouldnt let me put it down in the corner where I had it forever and a day since CT/SC etc etc.
So, it depends really. All they give you is the blue part, not the whole sticker, unless you need it. Good luck,as most are getting put up top in the center.
