4.6L 96 and later GT's have multiple coil packs, so naturally it cost more. $80 is the going rate for quality 10mm wires anywhere (not that you need them or anything) and I payed $1.50 for the plugs in the vette.
Try Corvette full length headers - $895 (doug rippie)
Mustang full length headers - $229 -BBK
Corvette Throttle Body - $349 - BBK
Mustang Throttle Body - $179 - BBK
$129 for Cyclone full length big tubes are just as good.
Thats even buying them from a Ford based hotrod shop! ( So what they only last 3 years...by the time the second pair are worn out...your $500 pair will be pretty crappy looking too. )
if you want to go there think of this look at the price of a GT and look at the price of a vette. take the money not spent on the vette and do mods to a mustang. $4000 more you have a GT that will kill a vette. then you have the money to go out for awhile and have fun. look at a vette its all you need to say people dont care about the speed they like it cause it is a vette

Ok...I spent $6800 on my C4.
Your not going to find many rustangs in as good a shape nor are you going to have a lot of difference in cash to make it as fast/faster, because any nice used sports car is going to bring close to this price.
97 Mustang GT
$120 - High energy coil packs
$80 - Low resistance Taylor 10mm wires
$.99 - spark plugs.
What can they be thinking? My friend says it is because it is a copper plug. Does this make any sense to anyone else?
Just because you spend more money on something doesn't mean it will work any better. Pay more for the gimmicky plus four or split fires or rapid fires if you want. You want multiple sparks, get an MSD--it works better.
Yeah, but look at the Cobra, $54,995, sans radio, and air conditioning, and its still slower than the Z06.
The argument between Vette's and F-Body/Mustangs is way deeper than which one can be modded more for less money.

Thats the Cobra R. A Cobra is around 30k.
You're right, it is a lot different than what can be modded for less money. Some folks want Corvettes. Some want F-bodies or Mustangs. Its all good to me. :) Just don't try to tell me yours is better because its cheaper.
