anyone notice anything diff about my tail lights
i finally had enought of trying to get the dirt and white wax buildup off the lenzes around all the raised lettering GM puts at the top and bottom of the lenzes and the center brake light also. so i removed all the lettering and cleared my lenzes.
now it will be soooo much easier to clean!!!!
it was very easy, i used my da with 600 on it and sanded them till the letters were flush with the lenz then they were gone and i could not tell that they were there. i sanded the entire lenzes with the 600 and 2 coats of clearcoat and thats it. it really was easy. i spent @ 30 mins sanding all 5.
Hey Micahel, looks sweet. I did that to my truck. I plan to do it to the GS pretty soon, the only thing ima do different is to tint them slightly. That way they match all my other lights.

yes, we use 600 on a da for blend panels. you can sand a panel> door, fender, whatever with 600 on a da and just clear right over it with out spraying any color first. now 600 is the lowest you can go. and do not try it with 600 watersand paper. only with the da

I like the light covers but a $200 sander to do it throws me off a bit.
Now I know what a da is though so it wasn't a wasted read
If you really wanted to do it you gould go rookie instead of professional, here's one from Harbor Freight.

I may do one of these because I just shot the first coat of primer on my car in the garage and could use it anyway
