The only thing I would like to see on posts is add the year of your vehicle in the title line. Would make it easier to scan over all the posts that your interested in reading. Of course I read most all of them anyway.
Just be sure to use the search first! And buy a FSM.
Ditto and definately agree: This forum ALREADY has a wealth of information stored and available. Learning to use the Search Function will (1) cutdown on repeated posts; (2) allow you to read and learn from members that have left but already experienced and solved MANY problems; (3) keep new members from being bashed for simple problems; (4) give you more info and options than you can get from just starting a post.
The Search function is an easy tool to use, but a simple trick will give you alot better responses on your searches.
Use the Main Search function ( top menu bar)
Click "Advanced"
In the Advanced section, be sure to include "ARCHIVE POSTS" (this gets you all the posts related to your question).
Search your question in BOTH areas (Technical & General).
Read & Enjoy your learnng experience ----- And Nothing beats a FSM (www.helms.com) - Which should be your 1st purchase if you plan on working on your car..
This forum has changed quite a bit over the years. Some of it good, some of it bad. When you've been around on it awhile, you'll see a pattern of repeat posts, repeat replies and the little quirks that each of the members have. I bounce around to other forums and find equally good info. And you'll find the same userids on the other forums. This is just one of many. Look around you'll enjoy some of the others.
