Default what do you consider need feedback

Hello all CF buddies, im new to the forum purchased my first vette on easter 89 l98 c4, and i just dont know where to start, i want to go with corsa exaust and long headers and intake manifold . but latley ive been told to chip the computer. so i check out my chip options and have no clue whats the best chip i should get. can i please get some advice from my fellow CF friends, thanks in advace for the advice oh one more thing some of the chips i've looked at say stage 2 but also inform me that i will need to do something regarding the thermostat degree something so is this another chip on top of the preformance chip or will one chip do both??????? hold on let me get my popcorn k got it ready for the knowledge im about to receive.

Don't know much about the '89 L98 engine, but the thermostat degrees would have to be done by changing the thermostat.

Stock chip is fine, the aftermarkets are a waste of $$.

Once you start modding it then have someone tune it on a dyno to get some good results.
Come up with a good gameplan of the mods you want to do first.

The chip is the last thing you want to change in your car, after all of your modifications are complete. If you get one halfway through the process, you can drive it but won't get the best out of the tune and will eventually have to get another one anyway. Best to save your money for better things - and stay away from those cheap gimmick chips like Hypertech.

Thanks for all the advice will do everything stated and i'll stay away from the hypertech chips. so far i have decided to do my exaust first, its looking to run me roughly one thou five hundred.

We have several excellent chipburners on board. You are correct to avoid the aftermarket bunch.
