The u-joints on your vette axles don't have zerks unless they were replaced with some that do. The drive shaft zerks can usually be reached by rotating them to the spot that gives the most room. Auto parts stores usually sell tips for grease guns. Just go look and see if what they have is thinner than what you have. They also make zerks of different lengths and angles. Maybe replacing the stubby straight out zerks you have with one of those will help you do what you want to do.
