Default 1996 Lowering....

I'm in the process of lowering my front end. A couple of stumbling blocks though. The rubber was either broke or I broke it on the left lower ball joint. I had to take the lower control arm off anyway to get the spring out so no problem. Until.......I have no idea how they got that rear bolt in for the control arm unless they put it in before the diagonal brace for the engine mount. Which is probably the case. So, do I just cut the bolt and replace it? And install it from the opposite direction. Anything wrong with this?

Been there done that, the brace you are talking about comes off real easy with the removal of 4 bolts on each brace and the engine mount nut. I went through the same problem, I thought it was supporting the engine mount. This is not the case see the section from the FSM and you will see what I am talking about. There is no need to support the engine.

Thanks VH, It looked like it supported it to me to. I wasn't going there if that was the case. I got it though. Hey, what kind of glue did you use for the replacement wedges? I'm going with contact cement. Seems a whole lot faster to me.

Thanks for the page! I've got to get one of those!
