I have 315's on the rear and 275's on the front of my '85. I'm using CCW wheels. I recently talked to the tire engineers at Kumho and the think I should be using 315s all the way around.
This means new wheels but I'm sure CCW can build me the wheels. I've seen people run 335s on the rear but you need to install the GS flares.
On the other hand if I were just driving my car on the street I would probably do something like the 285 on the rear and the 275 on the front. That's a really nice combination for the street.
Do you like that set up? Do you have any pics of your car with those tires on?
Also...have you had any "rubbing" problems?
No rubbing problems as I have 275/40/17 on the front...1992 and Z07 Vettes came with them on the front. All '93 and up with sawblades came with 285/40/17 at the rear.
