Default ? on vert's

I am looking at a 92 convertible.
Is there anything I should look for that is a problem with vert's, i.e. tear in a certain place or frame problems?

Also, are they known to leak in certain places?

Make sure the "X" brace is still attached under the car. Make sure the top will go down without any problems and all of the cables and catches work.Careful with the plastic rear window
You could also check for water leaks with a low pressure hose with a spray pattern.
Good Luck

The weatherstripping seems to wear faster on verts. Besides that, and the previously mentioned X brace, I can't think of anything else compared to a coupe. Happy hunting!

A hard top is a nice touch. I like mine even in the south, up north it would be a must if it is a daily driver.

I'm sure a hard top adds to resale value, and it might garner some style points in a show, but isn't the reason for a vert to ride topless? Most folks don't drive in the winter, so a hard top seems like a waste. Am I missing something?

Exactly why I am looking at the car, want a vert. Riding with the top off is fun, but VERY noisy!!!

It's all relative. I used to drive a wrangler with a
4" lift. The tire howl and wind turbulance was
deafening!! I honestly wore ear plugs when I had
the top off on the freeway. My vert seems serine
now by comparison.

In the deep South or AZ, riding in the summer is hot with the top down. Your A/C works so much better with a hardtop. And it is much quietier. BUT, there is nothing like a moon lit night with the top down.

Ive had my `95 Vert since September and I have been very happy with how tight the car is. No leaks and no rattles except for one in interior but that I kind of expected.

I might be willing to sell mine. 92 conv. never hit factory paint-red auto, how close are you to SC
