Default Windshield weatherstrips

I just had a new windshield installed in my 96 -Cracked by a rock on the day I bought it and drove it home-The weatherstrip they used does'nt fit correctly and I have a water and wind leak on the drivers side. I'm looking for information on which company has the best weatherstrip on the market . I'd like to do this only one more time ! Thanks

The glass company is willing to put in another weatherstrip-but if they use a poor quality aftermarket I'll be back in the same boat-that's why I was looking for opinions on good quality weatherstripping

What is the source for the GM weatherstrip? Your local friendly Chevy place? Online? Thanks, Larry

You will get many opinions on this, I used Wilxox and it fit perfect. Before I purchased, I did an extensive archive search and found many people had used Wilcox and were happy with it.

GM is more like 2 to 3 times the cost of quality aftermarket weatherstrip. It does fit well but does not come with a warranty and does not last long in sunny climates.

I also have heard lots of positive comments on Wilcox and they seem to have great customer service. I used weatherstripping from LoneStar MuscleCar and was very pleased with the quality and fit. It also comes with a 15 year warranty.
