I had to replace one. My problem is, The grease boot has to go over a shoulder on the base of the joint instead of inside the lower control arm like the OE did. My mechanic pressed the new joint in and I asked him about the boot. He said it would go over the shoulder when I put it all back together. Well it does some but not all the way. I have tried everything I know of to get it over it completely with no luck. Push one side down the other pops up. Is this the way it's supposed to be? Just kind of sitting there. Thanks, -Mike

Have you installed the arm and tightened the joint to the knuckle?

I did. The boot is partically on there. I even took the the whole thing back off and still can't get it to go down. I keep trying to think of something to put between the boot and knuckle to help force it into position but keep coming up blank. I was told Moog was one of the best. I'm not impressed! I guess if I keep it full of grease it'll be ok. Just ozzes out more than I'd like to see. Makes a mess.
Yea that sucks bro - With it all assembled it should have squished it on. The illegal alien that packaged the items must have snatched the wrong boot from the bin.....
