It takes an extremely short while to get used to it because there are some differences, but within 5 minutes, you'll be saying to yourself, "Why didn't I make the switch years ago?" Shifting is smoother, more precise, quicker, etc. I can think of no disadvantages by making the switch. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

Dewitts rad the Hurst SS(or any other) is the best mod money can buy for your 6speed. Gear selection is more defined for me. So I lost the reverse lockout feature NBD. It is technically possible w a 15# break-through to shift the ZF 6 in reverse at speed..... then it becomes a $2000 misunderstanding! It would take a village idiot to do this probably.

Love the BM on my 92. A couple of suggestions, don't over tighten for the front to rear movement, and lock tight all of the nuts! You will have to drop the x members and work from the bottom as well. If you take your time it is pretty much an all day job. I thot it was easier when I took the drivers seat out also.
