powdercoat? pics?
i searched for it i know its here somewhere but i cant find it.. i want to powdercoat some engine parts.. i think thats whats its called. do any of you have picture with the powdercoat that makes the engine all shiny and new looking and do any of you have like different colors like yellow and stuff. open to any color. trying to see what would look best. thanks in advance... oh and about how much does it cost? for the paint? is it hard to do? im not the best painter out there.

Color choices are endless. The powder coating itself is the easiest thing I have ever done. There is no way to mess it up, the only thing you have to worry about is the initial preparation of the part. If you think the part is clean, clean another 10 times and then check again.
Here are some parts I did on my car.
I did the intake, throttle cable bracket, timing cover, accessory bracket, ac delete bracket, alternator, waterpump, oil pan, and various other things. I'm sure if I can do it, you can do it too.

It is a powdery substance that is sprayed onto a surface, and baked at high temps to make the coating very hard. It is like having someone chrome plate your parts, only cheaper, and there is no doubt someone in your area who does it commercially. Ask around. There are 100's of colors.
