Default L98 lt headers

I'm looking for a set of long tubes for about the same price as Headman Elites. It seems as though Headman doesn't want to sell any for L98 Vettes. I've had set on order since February and I'm d**n tired of waiting.

Any ideas, prices?

Ordered from Summit back in February and every week to week and half they change the expected arrival date. Latest is the 31st of May, it sucks big time.

When I bought my elites w/AIR, my shipping date changed twice. Summit said that Hedman only makes those in limited quantity and only when there is enough ordered to make a production run. Apparently there is not much demand for these headers. I would call Summit and see if they will atleast take off the shipping and handling fee's, they did this for me.

Try AJUSA.COM Usually free shipping and reasonable prices. That's where I got mine from. I'll tell you this though, I'm sorry I got the ones with the air tubes. I was trying to do the right thing and keep all the smog crap intact but the tubes make it a real PIA to change plugs as well as burning up a few plug wires that were laying across them. I'm actually thinking of cutting the tubes off, welding the holes shut and removing the air pump just to de-clutter the engine bay a little.

What you're thinking of doing, I had done. My air pump is gone, the holes were welded, etc. That all equals a cleaner engine bay. I bought mine from TPIS and they weren't cheap, but if you don't want to wait, they should probably be able to ship immediately.

Do a search on my userid and "Tri-Y Header". I found a guy who makes/sells a Tri-Y header. This config is supposed to produce better power at lower rpms -- thru scavaging. It's the perfect street header. Bassani sells this config too.

I don't know if you want emissions hook-ups or not, but the next batch is supposed to be ready soon. I don't know what he'll have available, but call the number in the thread and ask.

This guy does NASCAR inspections, racing, etc... Retail is not his main gig, but you might hit at the right time to get a set.

I just went ahead and ordered the Elites w/o AIR/smog hookups from Jegs. Should be here on Monday or Tuesday. More work to get rid of all the goodies but at least I'll have what I want.
