Default Bowling Green drags

It was awesome seeing so many different cars running this year! Some LT1s, LT4s, LT5s, even LS1's, 2's, and 7's. I don't think any L98's ran? I could be mistaken though.

It's a lot more fun lining up against other cars. I lined up against that yellow C5 off the bat, before I knew it had a blower under the hood! Sure was a surprise to see that thing running away at the start! I almost took Ron's 390ci LT5 thanks to a good jump at the line, and him smacking his rev limiter twice!

I think my best was about a 12.54@116.9mph. I'll have to check the timeslips, got a pile of them in the glovebox. I couldn't launch the car to save my life, with 2.3-2.1 second 60' times. I had one run were I broke into the 2.0 range, but then muffed the 1-2 shift. It probably would have been a PB for me, but what can you do... It was a lot of fun, that's for sure!

12.554 @ 116.91mph. 60': 2.123

Of 18 runs I was only in the 12.5's twice. I just couldn't get the car moving well. Mostly I was doing 12.7ish with 2.2-2.3 60' times. I want to say the track wasn't hooking up well, but the reality is I was bogging the car most of the time.

Still a lot of fun! Anyone else?

12.327 @ 118.15 . 2.027 60'
I had a great time ! Just could not get my 60' times any better . I could not get my C4 to hook at all , but still had a blast . You will never see that many ZR-1's running the 1/4 mile than at this event , its just too cool .

I had a lot of fun 16 runs in all. I got my LT1 to run a 12.93@109.

Ted Dempsey told me all about the great times you guys all had and I wished I was there.

60 ft times in the 2.0's to 2.1's with stock gears ain't all that bad.

Not being able to hookup is'nt always a bad thing 'cause you won't break anything. While you guys were having a blast, I went to Firebird Raceway in Boise and popped a half-shaft u-joint at the line on the first pass. This track has had some teeth to it recently. Messed up the half-shaft too. Looks like WVZR1 has one I'll be able to get from him. Then it's new spicers and back to see what the old boy will do.

April 7th ran 12.532 @ 112.79, 2700' track elevation.

Thanks for posting, I love the drag racing.

That's true , at the end of the day nobody broke anything . Which is pretty amazing considering everyone problely did at least 9 or 10 passes . The only issue that I know of is the twin turbo Z's stock clutch slipping .

Saturday was great!
I didn't see anyone go slower than a high 13. All the cars were nice as heck.
That was my comparison race against my stock times from last year (best of 13.75@101mph).
I just finished installing a Ram-Air intake, 1.6 rr, LT4 springs & shorty headers. I am happy to say "that stuff really works".
I was consistantly faster than last year with a new best of 13.24@ 106mph.
HOT DAMN, boys! That's 5/10s & 5mph improvements.

Here's a few pics from the weekend.
How about a jonnymac attack?

I had to make a solo run here, 'cause noone had the guts to take me on.
