Fuel Injectors
It's been awhile since I've needed any help but its been three weeks since I was able to drive my car....and it's my daily driver. (although at 4.00 a gallon getting a ride isn't so bad).
I have a stock 1987 coupe.
Apparently I had a catalytic converter blockage that caused back pressure and blew several vacuum devices. In addition to the catalytic converters I have replaced a number of vacuum hoses, and the brake booster due to leaks.
New issue: She throws a code for the Mass Air Flow Sensor and is only working the left bank of fuel injectors. Fuel Flow and pressure are normal at the rails....right bank doesn’t fire?
We started this as a home project but the car is now at the shop of a friend. He has quite a bit of experience with these cars and says this is new to him.
I know I cant be the only one so please let me know what it was when it happened to you.
Thanks in advance.
Tim.
The MAF code is likely due to at least one bad relay, the Power or the Burn-Off relay. If both are ok and the MAF is bad, pick up a used one from an F-body car in a bone yard.
