Overdrive switch
1984 with 4+3 doug nash tranny. Step-kid spilled a large soft drink when it was in center console, and got the whole area wet. Seats, mirrors , window switches all work, but not the rocker arm switch for the over drive. Any ideas on how to replace it, and what part do I purchase. Thanks, and the kid in now in another place!!

I bought an extra O/D rocker switch on E-Bay for $40.00. Check there for more as I have since seen more for sale. They are very easy to replace. One plug connection under console. GM no longer has them from what I was told.

I had a similar problem finding the same overdrive switch for my 85. It is only used in the 84 and early 85 cars. Ebay is a good resource-it could take a while for one to come up for sale. Vette-2-Vette might have one. Expect to pay top dollar for a good used/nos switch as GM has not produced it for over 10 years.
