My Favorite
I love the #396 car......any more pics? Both old and new pics are absolutely terrific......except for the blow-out of course.
Here's my hero, JeffyVette's 396 Open Road Race Vette. :Original paint
OOPS! A BLOW OUT
All fixed and rolling again with new look
And here's a pic of his Gramin showing 206 mph
and here's a link to a short video of what the 396 Vette looks like from road side as he passes at over 200mph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrSKw...e=user&search=
Jeff is a member of the Open Road Racing's coveted 200mph club
It takes a lot of car and driving skill to drive an Open Road for 100 miles or more at those speeds!!! Few ever reach this goal.

Jeff and Boyce will be running an '01 Corvette twin turbo Lingenfelter ZO6 this season & the 396 car is now for sale. Here's a link to the FOR SALE site with more pictures and info about the "Go Fast" goodies in it.

If I were about 35 years younger I'd really want to buy it but at my age I must be content to be a course worker at road side with my yellow and red flags cheering for Jeff and Boyce

GS348 and ZRWON,
Thank-you for the kind words. It is a real ego boost to have other people posting pictures of my car and admiring it. Just a quick update, I was running in the Bonniville 100 Open Road Race in Wendover weekend before last and lost the motor. It was running great, we were hitting 150-160mph through section of road with turns(10 miles worth) marked 45-55mph for normal trafic. We got to the 8 mile straight with the speed trap in it and let her rip we were at 205 mph and slowly gaining about a mile before the trap. Then suddenly even with my foot to the floor we started losing speed, we went through the trap at 200.4mph and the speed kept going down. About 10 seconds later my navigator who was watching the gages saw the oil pressure go to 0psi and the oil temp go to off the scale ( over 300). He killed the motor right away and we coasted to a stop. We have not gotten the motor apart yet so we don't know what happened yet. My guess is either my oil pump or main bearings went out. Oh well we get to rebuild the motor again. You just got to love high speed racing. Thanks again guys for the kind words.
